Noida:
A man lost his life after being struck by a train while traversing railway tracks in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
A video recording of the tragic event showed Tushar, who lived in Dadri, attempting to cross the railway track on his motorcycle.
Unfortunately, his two-wheeler skidded, causing him to fall directly on the track.
Tushar, who was reportedly trying to cross when the railway crossing was closed, then attempted to retrieve his fallen bike. Within seconds, he became aware of the approaching train and tried to flee, but was struck by the oncoming train.
He died immediately at the scene.
According to recent data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of railway crossing accidents in 2023.
The state was responsible for 1,025 out of 2,483 total cases nationwide.
Uttar Pradesh has also documented the highest number of fatalities from railway crossing accidents, accounting for 1,007 out of the total 2,242 deaths.
