Tragic Negligence: Worker Dies of Heart Attack While Employer Ignores His Distress in Madhya Pradesh

In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district, a 45-year-old worker named Rafiq Khan suffered a fatal heart attack while his employer remained seated nearby, engrossed in his phone rather than offering assistance. This distressing event occurred on Monday at Tirupati Traders in Susner.

Khan, an employee at the shop, suddenly grasped his chest before collapsing onto his chair during work hours. For approximately six minutes, he struggled desperately for breath and experienced severe pain. Despite his evident distress, none of the individuals present, including the shop owner, made any effort to assist him.

The CCTV footage capturing this incident has spread widely across social media platforms. The video reveals Khan gasping for air while seated, as the owner occasionally glanced at him but primarily continued using his mobile device.

Throughout the entire footage, the shop owner was never seen standing up or attempting to provide any form of assistance to Khan.

By the time Khan was eventually transported to a hospital, medical professionals pronounced him deceased.

Khan's grieving and outraged family members gathered at the Susner Police Station demanding justice for their loved one.

Hundreds of community members joined them at the station, arguing that this wasn't simply an accident but rather a death resulting from criminal negligence and profound inhumanity.

Family members alleged that Khan had been compelled to lift excessively heavy items beyond his physical capabilities by the shop owner and his son, which they believe triggered the fatal heart attack.

In a statement to NDTV, one of Khan's relatives explained, "He was crying out in pain and begging for help. Instead of rushing him to the hospital, they instructed others to keep working. We demand justice for Rafiq. The owner didn't even rise from his chair."

Law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation into the matter.
