Tragic Accident in Bengaluru: 9-Year-Old Girl Killed by BMTC Bus While Crossing Road

A tragic incident occurred in Bengaluru on Saturday when a nine-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus, according to police reports.

The deceased child has been identified as Bhuvana.

Police officials stated that the young girl was crossing the road near Panchajanya Vidya Peeta school in Rajajinagar with her two sisters when the BMTC bus reportedly hit her.

Bhuvana suffered critical injuries to her head and was immediately transported to a hospital, where medical professionals pronounced her dead upon arrival, as confirmed by a senior police officer.

Authorities report that the bus driver abandoned the scene following the accident. Police are currently conducting a search operation to locate and apprehend the driver.

Law enforcement has registered a case regarding the incident and is proceeding with a thorough investigation, police officials confirmed.
