Punjab Police Dismantles Babbar Khalsa Terror Module: Two Arrested in Jalandhar with RDX-Fitted IED

Punjab Police successfully dismantled a Babbar Khalsa International terror module, arresting two operatives in Jalandhar. Authorities seized a 2.5 kg RDX-fitted improvised explosive device with remote control, intended for a targeted attack. The module was reportedly operated by UK-based handlers under the direction of BKI mastermind Harwinder Singh Rinda and backed by Pakistan's ISI.

Chandigarh:

On Thursday, Punjab Police announced they had successfully dismantled a Babbar Khalsa International terror module with the arrest of two individuals in Jalandhar. During the operation, authorities seized an RDX-equipped improvised explosive device (IED) along with its remote control mechanism.

According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the confiscated IED was intended for a specific terror attack.

DGP Yadav shared on X: "In a major breakthrough against Pakistan's ISI-backed terror network, the Counter Intelligence, Jalandhar, busts a Babbar Khalsa International terror module operated by UK-based handlers Nishan Jaurian and Adesh Jamarai on the directions of BKI mastermind Harwinder Singh Rinda and recovers 2.5 kg IED/RDX and one remote control."

The two arrested operatives have been identified as Gurjinder Singh and Diwan Singh, both apprehended in Jalandhar.

Officials have registered an FIR in Amritsar under relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Explosives Substances Act in connection with the case.
