DK Shivakumar's Update On Bigg Boss Kannada Studio Sealed Over Violations

Bengaluru:

Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has promised to remove the seal from the Bigg Boss Kannada filming studio, allowing the management time to rectify environmental violations that led to its closure. Kannada celebrity Kichcha Sudeep, who hosts Season 12 of the popular reality show, expressed gratitude for the official's prompt assistance.

Jollywood Studios and Adventures was shut down on Tuesday evening by state authorities for operating without proper permissions. The facility was sealed following an order from the state pollution control board, resulting in all Bigg Boss contestants being evacuated from the premises.

Shivakumar confirmed yesterday that he has instructed the relevant official to unseal the Bidadi studio.

"I have directed the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal on Jollywood premises in Bidadi, where Bigg Boss Kannada is being filmed. While environmental compliance remains a top priority, the studio will be given time to address violations in accordance with the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board," Shivakumar stated.

He emphasized his dedication to supporting Karnataka's entertainment industry while fulfilling the government's environmental protection responsibilities.

In response, Sudeep thanked the authorities for recognizing that the Bigg Boss team was not involved in the situation.

"I sincerely thank Hon. @DKShivakumar sir for the timely support. Also want to thank the concerned authorities for acknowledging that #BBK was not involved or was a part of the recent chaos or disturbances. I truly appreciate the DCM for promptly responding to my call, and thank #Nalpad, for his dedicated efforts," he remarked.

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 launched recently. Following the show's suspension, over 700 production team members returned home. Sources revealed that technicians had been working in three continuous shifts for approximately six months.

The Bigg Boss house, designed to resemble a palace, was constructed at a cost exceeding Rs 5 crore.
