AAP To Contest All 243 Seats In Bihar, Releases First List Of Candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced on Monday its intention to contest all 243 seats in the Bihar assembly elections, releasing its first list of 11 candidates as part of its strategic entry into the state's political landscape.

During a press conference in Patna, AAP's state in-charge Ajesh Yadav expressed confidence in the party's ability to implement its successful governance model from Delhi and Punjab in Bihar.

"We have a proven growth and governance model that has demonstrated results. The Aam Aadmi Party's accomplishments are being recognized nationwide. People from the Purvanchal region played a crucial role in our Delhi victory," Yadav stated.

He further quoted AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal: "If they helped us form a government in Delhi, why not in Bihar?"

The initial list of candidates includes Meera Singh for Begusarai, Bhanu Bhartiya for the Kasba seat in Purnia district, Arun Kumar Rajak for Phulwari in Patna, Pankaj Kumar for Bankipur in Patna, Ashok Kumar Singh for Govindganj in Motihari, and Retired Captain Dharmraj Singh for the Buxar constituency.

State AAP co-incharge Abhinav Rai firmly rejected the possibility of forming alliances with existing political formations, stating: "Our alliance is exclusively with Bihar's people. We won't collaborate with any party or coalition."

Highlighting AAP's track record, Yadav emphasized the party's achievements in education, healthcare, and public welfare initiatives in Delhi and Punjab. When questioned about political strategist Prashant Kishor's reform agenda, he remarked, "Prashant Kishor has only recently begun discussing reforms, whereas we have already implemented them successfully."

Yadav mentioned that the party would soon announce its list of star campaigners, noting that prominent leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Bhagwant Mann have all previously visited Bihar.
