Delhi Medical Student Drugged and Sexually Assaulted by Fellow Student at Hotel: Police Investigation Underway

An 18-year-old MBBS student has reported that a 20-year-old male colleague drugged and sexually assaulted her at Hotel Apple in Delhi's Adarsh Nagar. According to officials, the incident occurred on September 9.

In her statement, the victim alleged that the accused, who is also studying medicine, invited her to the hotel claiming friendship. Once there, he reportedly administered drugs to her before sexually assaulting her. She further stated that he captured inappropriate images and videos during the assault and threatened to distribute them online.

The woman, originally from Haryana's Jind, resides in the hostel of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College in Delhi's Rohini area.

Officials confirmed that police have registered a case based on the woman's complaint.

Authorities are currently searching for the accused, with no arrests made yet.

This case follows other recent incidents, including the arrest of a school manager for allegedly raping an eighth-grade student in Uttar Pradesh. In another case from February, a 15-year-old girl in South Delhi's CR Park area reported being repeatedly raped over three years by her tuition teacher, who allegedly blackmailed and threatened her. The teacher, from West Bengal, is facing charges.
