Superstar Rajinikanth recently took a brief respite from his demanding professional schedule to embark on a spiritual journey to the Himalayas.

Reports indicate that Rajinikanth paid a visit to the Swami Dayananda Ashram in Rishikesh where he offered his respects to Swami Dayananda. During his stay, Thalaiva reportedly engaged in meditation along the sacred banks of the Ganga and participated in the traditional Ganga Aarti ceremony.

Further reports suggest that after his time in Rishikesh, the renowned '2.0' actor proceeded to Dwarahat.

Numerous photographs from his spiritual retreat have emerged across social media platforms.

One notable image shows Rajinikanth dressed in white attire, enjoying a meal served on disposable leaf plates (pattal) placed on a roadside stone surface. A vehicle can be seen parked against the backdrop of a mountainous landscape.

Another photograph captures the superstar engaged in conversation with several men, presumably at the ashram, while an additional image shows Rajinikanth standing alongside a priest as he offers his respects.

In recent news, Rajinikanth expressed his condolences to those affected by the tragic stampede incident that occurred during the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally organized by fellow actor-turned-politician Vijay.

The 'Kabali' star shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account: "The news of the loss of innocent lives in the incident that occurred in Karur shakes the heart and causes immense grief. My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Comfort to those who were injured.

My heart trembles. The news coming from Karur brings shock and sorrow. I am at a loss for words to express my deepest condolences to the innocent people who lost their lives trapped in the crowd congestion. I urge the Tamil Nadu government to ensure that those rescued from the congestion receive proper treatment and that those affected receive appropriate relief".

On the professional front, Rajinikanth was most recently featured in Lokesh Kanagaraj's "Coolie".

The drama, which also stars Nagarjuna and Shruti Haasan in significant roles, was released in theaters on August 14.
