Mother and Partner Arrested for Killing 3-Year-Old Daughter and Framing Others in Uttar Pradesh

Bulandshahr authorities have apprehended a woman and her romantic partner on charges of murdering her three-year-old daughter and subsequently attempting to frame others for the crime, according to police reports.

Police officials stated that on October 1, a woman named Seema, also known as Lali, filed a report at the Narora police station. In her complaint, she alleged that an individual named Laltresh and associates had abducted her daughter Divyanshi with murderous intent.

Following the complaint, authorities registered a case and launched an investigation immediately. Tragically, the body of the child was discovered in a canal the same day the report was filed. As the investigation progressed, evidence revealed that Seema herself, in collaboration with her partner Yatendra, had committed the murder.

SP (Rural) Tejveer Singh revealed, "During questioning, Seema admitted that following her husband's death, she had been residing with Yatendra. Her daughter Divyanshi frequently created difficulties when she was working, resulting in recurring arguments between the couple."

The pair was also involved in an ongoing dispute with a local resident named Laltresh and others in Ahmadgarh. To falsely implicate these individuals, Seema and Yatendra made the decision to kill the child and attribute the crime to them, the officer explained.

After murdering the girl, they disposed of her body in the Narora Ganga canal before lodging a fabricated complaint against Laltresh and her associates, the SP stated.

According to the accused's statements, they considered the child an "obstacle" in Seema's life, which motivated the couple to commit the murder and discard the body in the waterway.

Police have indicated that additional investigation is ongoing in this case.
