A search operation has been initiated by security forces after a Pakistani drone was observed flying over a forward village along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials on Saturday.

The drone-like object was detected coming from the Pakistani side and was seen hovering over Nanga village in the Ramgarh sector late Friday, causing alarm throughout the border region.

Officials reported that security forces and police teams were immediately dispatched to thoroughly search the area and verify that no payloads such as narcotics or weapons were airdropped from across the border.

As of the latest reports, the search operation was still ongoing, and security has been enhanced in neighboring villages as a precautionary measure.
