3 Children Drown In Lake During Vacation In Karnataka: Cops

During the Dasara vacation, three young boys ventured to a nearby lake for swimming in Achepalli village, Chikkaballapura district.

Chikkaballapura authorities confirmed that three children tragically drowned in a lake incident that occurred on Friday afternoon in Achepalli village.

The victims were identified as Vishnu (14), Nihal Raj (12), and Harshavardhan (16), all local residents of Achepalli village.

The incident happened while the children were enjoying their Dasara holiday break by swimming in a lake close to their homes.

According to police reports, Vishnu and Nihal Raj, who were not skilled swimmers, began struggling in the water. Witnessing his friends in distress, Harshavardhan bravely jumped into the lake attempting to save them, but unfortunately drowned as well.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Bagepalli police immediately responded to the location and, with assistance from local villagers, recovered the bodies from the lake.

The tragedy left the parents of the three boys devastated as the bodies were returned to their homes.
