October Bank Holidays: With the festival season in full swing, banks across India will observe numerous holidays. These include national and regional celebrations, along with regular closures on every second and fourth Saturday and all Sundays, in accordance with the RBI calendar.
October 1: Banking operations will be suspended in Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand due to celebrations for Dussehra, Ayudha Pooja, and Durga Puja.
October 2: Banks nationwide will remain closed for Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Dasara, Vijaya Dashami, Dussehra, Durga Puja, and Janmotsav of Sri Sri Sankardeva.
October 3-4: Sikkim will observe bank closures for Durga Puja (Dasain) festivities.
October 5: All banks across India will remain closed for Sunday.
October 6: Banking services in Tripura and West Bengal will be unavailable due to Lakshmi Puja celebrations.
October 7: Banks in Karnataka, Odisha, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh will observe holidays for Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti and Kumar Purnima.
October 10: Himachal Pradesh will see banks closed in observance of Karva Chauth.
October 18: Banks in Assam will not operate due to Kati Bihu festival.

October 21: Banking operations will cease in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu, and Srinagar for Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan), Deepawali, and Govardhan Pooja.
October 22: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar will experience bank closures for Diwali, Vikram Samvant New Year Day, Govardhan Pooja, Balipadyami, and Laxmi Puja.
October 23: Banks in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh will not function due to Bhaidooj, Chitragupt Jayanti, Laxmi Puja Bhratridwitiya, and Ningol Chakkouba.
October 27: West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand will observe bank holidays for Chath Puja (Evening Puja).
October 28: Banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed for Chath Puja (Morning Puja).
October 31: Banking institutions in Gujarat will not operate to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday.
