India Condemns UK Terror Attack on Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester: A Call for Global Action Against Terrorism

India has issued a strong condemnation of the deadly terrorist attack on a synagogue in Manchester, United Kingdom, describing it as a "grim reminder of the evil forces of terrorism" that the world continues to face.

The attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue resulted in two fatalities after an attacker drove a vehicle into people outside the synagogue and subsequently stabbed them during Yom Kippur services.

In an official statement, New Delhi expressed solidarity with the United Kingdom during this difficult time. "We condemn the terror attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester, during Yom Kippur services today," stated External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

Jaiswal emphasized the particularly troubling timing of the attack, noting that "It is particularly saddening that this heinous act was committed on the International Day of Non-violence."

The spokesperson further remarked that this incident serves as "another grim reminder of the challenge we face from the evil forces of terrorism, which the global community must combat and defeat through united and concerted action."
