Couple Steals Rs 6 Lakh Gold Necklace Using Clever Sleight of Hand in Bulandshahr Jewellery Store

A couple entered a jewellery store in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr and executed a remarkably skillful theft, stealing a gold necklace valued at Rs 6 lakh while the unsuspecting staff continued to show them additional ornaments.

The theft was so cleverly executed that the staff remained completely unaware until the routine inventory check revealed the missing necklace during the weighing process.

CCTV footage was later examined, showing the couple examining gold necklaces. Within minutes, the woman calmly but deftly placed a necklace in her lap while taking another one. She then returned one necklace to the table while concealing the one in her lap with her saree.

While continuing to browse additional necklaces, she discreetly moved the stolen jewellery under her arm. Throughout this process, they maintained a conversation with the salesperson about the prices of various displayed items.

Shortly thereafter, the couple claimed dissatisfaction with the selection and departed from the store.

The CCTV evidence has been provided to law enforcement authorities, who have initiated a search operation for the two suspects.
