Swami Chaitanyananda Arrest: WhatsApp Chats Reveal Exploitation of Female Students by Delhi Godman

Self-proclaimed godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has been arrested in Agra following allegations of sexually harassing at least 17 female students. Disturbing WhatsApp conversations reveal his attempts to arrange inappropriate meetings, infantilizing language toward victims, and fraudulent activities. Police have seized multiple devices, fake credentials, and frozen assets worth Rs 8 crore as the investigation continues into his exploitation at a Delhi management institute.

Chaitanyanand was arrested on Sunday.

New Delhi:

The apprehension of self-proclaimed spiritual leader Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has uncovered WhatsApp conversations revealing his alleged manipulation of young female students.

A particularly concerning exchange shows Chaitanyananda attempting to arrange what he termed a meeting with a "Dubai Sheikh." In his conversation with an alleged student, the 62-year-old wrote:

Delhi Baba: "One Dubai Sheikh wants to [have] a sex partner, do you have any nice friend?"

Victim: "Koi nahi hai" (There is no one).

Delhi Baba: "How it's possible?"

Victim: "I don't know."

Delhi Baba: "Your any classmate? Junior?"

In additional conversations, Chaitanyananda consistently addresses a victim using childlike terminology, such as "Sweetie Baby Daughter Doll," and sends persistent messages throughout the day and into late hours:

"Babyyyyy" (7:49 PM)

"Baby where are you?" (11:59 PM)

"Good Morning Baby" (12:40 PM)

"Why are you angry with me?" (12:41 PM)

Another instance shows him writing:

"Good Evening my most beloved baby daughter doll."

Victim: "Here afternoon sir, happy afternoon. Did you have something sir?"

In a separate exchange, he made references to "doing some disco dance" and inquired if the victim wished to join. "Wow sir osm," she responded, apparently out of politeness.

One conversation shows him asking a student, "You'll not sleep with me?"

The Arrest In Agra

Chaitanyananda, who faces accusations of harassing at least 17 female students, was detained around 3:30 am on Sunday at a hotel in Agra's Taj Ganj area. According to police, he had been evading authorities for nearly two months, moving between Vrindavan, Mathura, and Agra, typically staying in small accommodations and utilizing taxis to avoid detection.

Police reports indicate he checked into the Agra hotel on September 27 using the alias "Partha Sarathi" and occupied Room 101. Staff reported he remained in his room until his arrest.

He is currently under five days of police custody and will likely be confronted with three female associates from the institute who allegedly assisted him in threatening students and removing incriminating messages.

During his arrest, authorities confiscated an iPad and three mobile phones, one containing remote access to the institute's CCTV cameras and hostel premises.

Counterfeit visiting cards identifying him as a "Permanent Ambassador" to the UN Economic and Social Council and a "Special Envoy" for BRICS were also seized. Documents including two passports, one under "Swami Parth Sarathi" and another as "Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati," containing contradictory birthplace and parentage information, were discovered. Police have frozen assets worth Rs 8 crore.

Investigators also found that he had withdrawn over Rs 50 lakh after the August FIR filing, allegedly using fraudulent documentation.

The allegations initially emerged from female students enrolled at his private management institute in Delhi. The FIR states he compelled some students to visit his quarters late at night and sent sexually explicit messages at unusual hours.
