Prashant Kishor has firmly stated that Jan Suraaj's financial backing is completely transparent and legitimate.

In Patna, following allegations from a BJP representative regarding Jan Suraaj's funding sources, political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has openly shared financial details and emphasized the transparency of his party's finances.

"Jan Suraaj's funding is transparent. I worked as a consultant and charged a fee for those I worked with. I earned Rs 241 crore in three years. I paid Rs 31 crore as GST and Rs 20 crore as Income Tax. I donated Rs 98 crore to Jan Suraaj through cheque payment," Mr Kishor explained, highlighting that all transactions to the party's accounts were conducted via cheque. "There is no wrongdoing," he asserted, adding that the organization also received financial support from various other contributors.

Jan Suraaj is preparing for its first electoral contest in the upcoming Bihar elections. Mr Kishor, who has completed a journey across the state generating significant interest in political circles, declared he is committed to transforming Bihar, his native state.

"I have not come to Bihar to make money. Every rupee I have is under the government's watch. I will stay in Bihar for 10 years, till this system does not change," he affirmed.

Mr Kishor's statements come as a response to BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal, who questioned Jan Suraaj's funding mechanisms and accused the political consultant of accumulating crores through shell companies.

In his media interaction, Mr Jaiswal questioned, "Why do companies that run at a loss give crores of rupees only to Prashant Kishor? Just like every villager knew the word 'scam' during the Congress regime (in Centre), similarly, everyone will know what round-tripping is through Prashant Kishor."
