On Sunday, a 26-year-old woman in Tikamgarh district allegedly ended the life of her two-year-old son by throwing him into a pond before taking her own life by hanging herself from a tree, according to police reports.
The tragic incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Baldeogarh police station, as confirmed by police officer Preeti Bhargav to PTI news agency.
Initial investigations have revealed that Santoshi Lodhi frequently engaged in arguments with her husband, and authorities believe she took this extreme action due to ongoing family discord.
Officer Bhargav stated that police are currently examining the case from multiple perspectives.
