Tragic Incident: 16-Month-Old Toddler Dies After Falling Into Boiled Milk at Andhra Pradesh School

A tragic incident in Korrapadu village, Andhra Pradesh has resulted in the death of a 16-month-old girl who accidentally fell into a vessel of boiled milk at a Gurukul school. Despite three days of medical treatment at multiple hospitals, the toddler succumbed to severe burn injuries on September 23, raising serious concerns about child safety in educational institutions.

A 16-month-old toddler has tragically passed away after accidentally falling into a container of boiled milk at a Gurukul school located in Korrapadu village, Anantapur district, as confirmed by police officials on Sunday.

The tragic incident took place on September 20 when the young child, while playfully chasing a cat, accidentally slipped and fell into a vessel containing boiled milk in the school's kitchen area.

According to Ananthapur Rural Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) T Venkatesulu, "A 16-month-old girl succumbed to burn injuries on September 23 after she accidentally fell into a bowl of boiled milk at a Gurukul school."

The toddler sustained severe burn injuries from the incident and was initially provided medical care at the local Government General Hospital (GGH). Due to the severity of her condition, she was subsequently transferred to a private medical facility in Kurnool for specialized treatment.

Despite receiving medical attention for three consecutive days, the child unfortunately succumbed to her extensive burn injuries on September 23, as stated by the police official.

Police reports indicate that the incident occurred while the girl's mother, Challa Krishnaveni, who is employed as a security guard at the school, had entered the kitchen premises to prepare coffee. Upon hearing her daughter's distressed cries, she immediately rushed to rescue the child, attempted to provide first aid by pouring water over the burns, and promptly transported her to the Government General Hospital.

In response to this tragic accident, local authorities have registered a case under section 194 BNS for further investigation.
