A devastating incident in the Nishatpura police station jurisdiction of Bhopal resulted in the deaths of a 30-year-old woman and her 11-month-old daughter on September 24, according to an official statement released Thursday.

The tragedy took place in Rajvansh Colony, a residential area located near the Mittal Institute of Technology.

Police reports identify the deceased as Gauri Sisodiya, who had gone to her house's rooftop with her infant daughter.

The circumstances leading to their fall from the rooftop remain unclear. Community members who witnessed or heard the incident promptly notified authorities and requested emergency medical services.

The injured mother and child were transported to a nearby medical facility, where medical professionals pronounced Gauri Sisodiya deceased upon arrival.
