Kota (Rajasthan):
A tragic incident occurred in Rajasthan's Baran district where a crocodile pulled a 15-year-old girl into the Parvati River while she was collecting water in pots along the riverbank, resulting in her drowning, according to police statements released Tuesday.
Local villagers working in adjacent fields witnessed the attack and quickly pursued the reptile using a boat. They managed to force the crocodile to release the teenager, but unfortunately, she disappeared beneath the deep waters, explained Ramesh Chand, Station House Officer of Kishanganj police station.
Upon notification, law enforcement personnel arrived at the location and launched a search operation with assistance from the State Disaster Response Force team. The victim's body naturally resurfaced early Tuesday morning, after which medical professionals were summoned to the scene.
