Lalu Yadav's Daughter Rohini Acharya Issues Open Challenge Amid Family Rift

As Bihar Assembly elections approach, internal conflict within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family continues to intensify. Following Tej Pratap Yadav's previous outbursts, Lalu Prasad's daughter Rohini Acharya has now adopted a confrontational stance, utilizing social media to express her discontent and present a daring challenge to her detractors.

In a forceful statement on X, Rohini declared, "I openly challenge all those with wicked thoughts and those who encourage such people. If anyone can prove that I have ever made any request to anyone for myself or anyone else, and that the claim that I donated my kidney to my respected father is a lie, then I will withdraw from political and public life."

She further insisted that individuals spreading false information must publicly apologize if they cannot substantiate their allegations.

"If those making accusations cannot prove their lies and propaganda, they should have the courage to publicly apologize to me and every mother, sister, and daughter of the country... and pledge never to spread such false information again," she emphasized.

In a move sparking speculation about her political aspirations, Rohini has recently unfollowed all political figures and family members on social media platforms.

Currently, she follows only three accounts — her husband Shamsher Singh, poet Rahat Indori, and a media publication — none of whom are politically affiliated.

Sources indicate this might represent her intention to separate herself from politics, with some suggesting she may resign from the party altogether.

The discord originated during the Bihar Adhikar Yatra, when Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, was observed in the front seat of a campaign vehicle — traditionally reserved for senior leadership.

Rohini indirectly referenced the incident by sharing a social media comment about it without adding personal remarks.

Despite the growing tension, no disciplinary measures were implemented against Sanjay Yadav.

Later, attempting to alleviate the situation, Rohini shared another post featuring two leaders, stating that the fundamental aim of Lalu Yadav's campaign for socio-economic justice was to elevate the most disadvantaged segments of society.

Although Rohini has restored access to her accounts, her social media behavior and ambiguous statements suggest increasing detachment from active politics, introducing additional uncertainty to the already divided RJD leadership before the critical 2025 elections.
