In advance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday celebration, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat commended the Prime Minister for his remarkable ability to identify potential in others and showcase it in inspirational ways.
On the social media platform X, Mr Shekhawat shared a video clip recounting a significant 2017 interaction with PM Modi that transformed into a profound life lesson. He mentioned that this encounter left an indelible mark on him and continues to influence his approach to public service.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi's exceptional leadership is characterized by his talent for recognizing others' capabilities and highlighting them in ways that inspire everyone around," he wrote.
Mr Shekhawat described a memorable encounter from 2017 when he met with PM Modi to discuss constituency-related matters. "After we addressed the issue, he requested I remain behind and inquired with genuine interest: 'As a Member of Parliament, what additional initiatives have you undertaken beyond raising concerns?'"
The Jodhpur Lok Sabha representative then informed the Prime Minister about a modest initiative he had implemented - an internship program inviting students from prestigious institutions including IITs, IIMs, and other top colleges to collaborate with him and contribute fresh perspectives.

He revealed that during the subsequent gathering of Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister personally referenced the internship initiative.
According to Mr Shekhawat, PM Modi deliberately mentioned the program twice during his address - both at the beginning and conclusion of his speech - praising its value and encouraging innovative thinking among other representatives.
The minister emphasized that PM Modi's recognition of his initiative wasn't merely a casual acknowledgment but became a significant moment that resonated deeply with him. "That interaction made a permanent impression on me."
"It demonstrated how deeply he values each representative's contributions and how he motivates them toward greater achievement. His leadership ensures that every effort is acknowledged and every contribution becomes meaningful," added Mr Shekhawat.
The BJP has launched a special "Sewa Pakhwada" campaign to commemorate PM Modi's 75th birthday, which falls on Wednesday.
This nationwide 15-day initiative will continue through October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, during which the party will organize various public welfare activities across India.
