A high-end yellow Lamborghini Urus with Haryana registration number HR 70 F 1945 was confiscated by Mumbai police after the driver was caught speeding at 250 kilometers per hour on the Bandra-Worli sea link on Wednesday.
The police action followed the circulation of a viral video on Instagram showing the luxury vehicle dangerously overtaking multiple cars on the sea link, where the maximum permitted speed is only 80 kilometers per hour.
Authorities identified the driver as Faiz Adanwala, a 36-year-old car dealer residing in Khar West. During their investigation, police discovered that the multi-crore luxury SUV is officially registered to 'Super Well Comtrade Private Limited' and is owned by Nirav Patel from Ahmedabad.
Further investigation revealed that Patel had temporarily entrusted the vehicle to Adanwala, who works in the automobile dealing business.
Officials have registered a case at Worli Police Station against Adanwala for negligent and dangerous driving. Law enforcement authorities are now proceeding with additional actions against the driver.
