A concerning incident of gunfire outside a grocery store in Batala, Punjab has highlighted an extortion attempt of Rs 30 lakh and claims of police ineffectiveness in response.
The store owner, identified as Manu, revealed that approximately two weeks prior, he received a threatening call from a gangster demanding Rs 30 lakh as extortion money. Despite promptly reporting this threat to local authorities in Batala, Manu alleges that police failed to take appropriate action, which ultimately led to the shooting incident outside his establishment.
Surveillance footage captured the alarming event, showing a young individual discharging a firearm at the grocery store located on Dera Baba Nanak Road in Batala.
