Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II personally chauffeured Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Jordan Museum, showcasing a remarkable gesture of diplomatic warmth between India and the Arab nation.
In Amman, the Crown Prince, who is a 42nd-generation direct descendant of Prophet Mohammad, demonstrated the strength of bilateral relations through this personal courtesy.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Amman on Monday for a two-day visit following an invitation from King Abdullah II. This Jordanian visit marks the first stop in the Prime Minister's comprehensive four-day diplomatic journey that will subsequently include Ethiopia and Oman.
The Jordan Museum, situated in Amman's Ras al-Ein district, stands as the country's premier museum facility. It houses an impressive collection of archaeological and historical treasures that represent Jordan's rich cultural heritage.
Established in 2014, the museum offers visitors a comprehensive chronological journey through the region's civilization, spanning from prehistoric eras to contemporary times.
Among its most remarkable exhibits are animal remains dating back 1.5 million years and the extraordinary Ain Ghazal lime plaster statues, which at 9,000 years old, are recognized as some of the earliest human sculptures ever created.
