Pahalgam attack victim Shubham Dwivedi's family has expressed satisfaction with the investigation's progress following the NIA's chargesheet submission.
Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh):
On Tuesday, Sanjay Dwivedi, father of Shubham Dwivedi, and Aishanya Dwivedi, wife of the victim, conveyed their approval regarding the National Investigation Agency's submission of a chargesheet for the Pahalgam attack.
Sanjay Dwivedi stated, "Since the April 22, 2025 massacre, everyone suspected that Pakistan and Pakistan-supported terrorists were behind this terrorist incident and the prolonged spread of terrorism in our country, which is exactly what has been revealed."
Regarding the government's post-attack response, he noted, "Following the incident, our government took action through Operation Sindoor, destroying their terror sites. My family and I have consistently demanded decisive action against terrorism."
Dwivedi expressed satisfaction with the NIA's investigation pace. "We are pleased that the NIA acted promptly, thoroughly investigated this matter, and filed the charge sheet," he said.
He further added, "However, our government still has much to do against terrorism. Both the court and the government will examine the charge sheet. Just yesterday, in the Australian incident, Pakistan-supported terrorists are being implicated... The government should implement strict measures against such incidents, and citizens should unite against terrorism, continuing the struggle against it."
Meanwhile, Shubham Dwivedi's wife expressed, "I sincerely thank the Government of India and the NIA for swiftly bringing the matter to the charge sheet stage and completing the investigation. Thanks to all officers and armed forces personnel who took immediate action. The charge sheet includes names of Indians who were assisting those Pakistanis."
She continued, "I request they receive punishment severe enough that any Indian considering helping these Pakistanis would tremble with fear... It also includes individuals with Rs 10 lakh rewards, so India cannot remain passive against them. We must confront them forcefully as they execute new terror attacks daily—after Pahalgam, the Red Fort incident, and yesterday's attack in Sydney; all are terror attacks. The entire country must unite against them."
On Monday, the National Investigation Agency filed a chargesheet regarding the April 22 attack in Pahalgam.
Pakistani handler terrorist Sajid Jatt and six others, including banned organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its proxy The Resistance Front (TRF), were named in the National Investigation Agency's Pahalgam terror attack chargesheet filed Monday.
LeT and TRF are mentioned as legal entities involved in planning, facilitating, and executing the religion-based targeted killings of 26 people on April 22.
The 1,597-page chargesheet details Pakistan's conspiracy, the accused's roles, and supporting evidence in the case.
Filed before the NIA Special Court in Jammu, the chargesheet also names three Pakistani terrorists killed by Indian security forces during Operation Mahadev at Dachigam, Srinagar, in July 2025, weeks after the deadly terror attack. They were identified as Faisal Jatt alias Suleman Shah, Habeeb Tahir alias Jibran, and Hamza Afghani.
The NIA has charged the LeT, TRF, and the four aforementioned terrorists under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, the Arms Act, 1959, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
In its chargesheet, the NIA has also invoked penal sections against the accused for waging war against India.
Through a meticulous scientific probe spanning almost eight months, the NIA said it has traced the conspiracy in case RC-02/2025/NIA/JMU to Pakistan, which has been consistently sponsoring terrorism against India.
Two accused persons, Parvaiz Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad Jothar, arrested by the NIA on June 22 for harboring terrorists, have also been chargesheeted.
