Horrific Murder in Maharashtra: Man Found Burnt Inside Car, Body Discovered in Sack

Police have initiated an investigation following the discovery of a horrifically burnt body inside a charred vehicle in Maharashtra's Latur district on Sunday. The incident is being investigated as a murder case.

The victim, identified as Ganesh Chavan from Ausa Tanda, was reportedly tied up in a sack, placed inside his own car, and then the vehicle was set ablaze by unknown perpetrators.

Authorities have completed their preliminary examination of the crime scene and subsequently released the remains to the victim's family. Law enforcement officials are currently working to determine the motive behind this brutal killing.

According to individuals close to Chavan, they had attempted to contact him throughout Sunday but found his phone was turned off. It was during their search for him that they learned about the tragic incident.

An official statement revealed: "We received an emergency call via Dial 112 at approximately 12:30 am. The caller reported a vehicle on fire along Vanavada Road. Our personnel promptly responded to the location and subsequently alerted the fire department, who extinguished the blaze. A completely charred body was discovered inside the vehicle. Medical officers were summoned to the scene. A post-mortem examination has been conducted, and the investigation is currently ongoing."
