A tragic accident occurred on Sunday at noon on National Highway 52 in Bundi district, resulting in the immediate death of a couple in their thirties and their one-year-old son. Police reports indicate that a truck struck their motorcycle from behind, causing the family to be thrown violently into the air.
The victims were found at a distance from their motorbike and were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police officials, the truck driver abandoned the scene following the collision, and authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend him.
The deceased have been identified as Sunder Singh, 36, his wife Raj Kour, 30, and their infant son Amrit, also known as Amerdeep Singh, aged one. They were residents of Sanvalpura village within the jurisdiction of Talera police station in Bundi district.
In response to the incident, grieving family members and village residents staged a protest, temporarily blocking the highway for a brief period, as reported by Talera Circle Inspector Arvind Bhardwaj.
The protesters were subsequently assured that appropriate action would be taken regarding the incident, which allowed normal traffic flow to resume within minutes.
