Fatal School Bus Collision in Haryana: Student Dies and 31 Injured Due to Foggy Conditions

In a tragic incident in Jhajjar on Sunday, one student lost her life and 31 others sustained injuries when a school bus collided with a Haryana Roadways bus during conditions of poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The accident occurred in Kaliawas village when the private school bus traveling from Dadri to Pratapgarh in Jhajjar collided with the Haryana Roadways bus that was en route to Dadri via Behror from Jhajjar.

A female student from class 11 was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 31 injured included students, teachers, and bus staff including the driver and conductor.

All injured individuals were transported to the local Civil Hospital and various private medical facilities. Following initial treatment, 23 people were discharged, while eight others remain hospitalized.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed his condolences over the tragic accident and assured that the government would provide full support to the affected families.

The Chief Minister has authorized financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakh for the deceased student's family. Additionally, he approved Rs 50,000 in financial aid for each of the eight individuals still receiving medical care, along with complimentary treatment and reimbursement of medical expenses.

CM Saini directed officials to ensure proper medical attention for the injured and instructed the district administration to continuously monitor the situation. He urged the public to exercise extreme caution while traveling in foggy weather conditions.
