Intelligence agencies have issued a high-level alert regarding potential terrorist attacks targeting Jewish establishments in India during the festival of Hanukkah, according to sources. The intelligence indicates that terrorist organizations are planning significant attacks on Jewish facilities in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai coinciding with the eight-day Jewish celebration, which begins today.

Security officials have taken these threats extremely seriously, resulting in heightened security measures at specific locations across these metropolitan areas. Intelligence sources emphasized the credibility of these inputs, necessitating immediate preventive action.

This alert comes on the same day as a tragic incident at Australia's Bondi Beach, where 11 people were fatally shot. At the Sydney location, two gunmen opened fire during a Jewish religious gathering. Witnesses reported approximately 50 shots were fired as hundreds of people had assembled on the beach for a seaside event marking the beginning of Hanukkah.

Australian authorities have confirmed that one of the assailants was killed in retaliatory fire, while approximately 11 individuals, including police officers, sustained injuries. New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon has officially classified the shooting as a "terrorist incident."
