Congress is organizing a mega rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan regarding alleged vote theft
New Delhi:
The BJP has accused the Congress of having a "real objective" to "eliminate" Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following controversial slogans raised by some opposition workers at the Congress's massive rally in Delhi today.
Footage shared by news agency IANS displayed Congress workers chanting slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasizing that his leadership would soon end.
"The agenda is evident. This isn't about SIR. It concerns Sanvidhan pe Vaar... Under the SIR pretext, they intend to eliminate PM Modi? Recently, Rahul Gandhi also threatened the ECI. Congress has already hurled over 150 insults at PM Modi," BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla stated in an X post.
The Congress is hosting a significant rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan today to intensify its campaign against alleged voting fraud and the Special Intensive Revision of voter lists. Party supporters and officials from across the nation have gathered in Delhi for this large-scale event.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra informed reporters that citizens "will not accept" this disrespect toward their "cherished leader." "I haven't personally heard this slogan but will examine it thoroughly. If such statements were indeed made, it demonstrates that Congress still misunderstands public sentiment. Whenever they've used derogatory language against PM Modi or his family, voters have rejected them," Patra commented.
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Nasir Hussain dismissed the BJP's allegations, labeling them "fake news".
Patra expressed surprise that Congress was holding the rally after Parliament had already discussed the alleged vote fraud. "Everyone in the House shared their perspectives, and the Union Home Minister addressed them as well. They fabricated the entire narrative, and the Home Minister provided detailed responses. When they secured victories in Telangana, Himachal, and Karnataka, no voting theft occurred, but where BJP won, there was supposedly fraud. When the Home Minister mentioned infiltrators, they walked out; this clearly indicates that this rally against SIR represents Congress's attempt to protect infiltrators," he remarked.
