Mumbai:
A covert operation by the Mumbai crime branch on Saturday led to the discovery of an alleged MD drug manufacturing facility in Maharashtra's Satara district. The highly confidential raid was conducted near a bungalow located in Sawari village, adjacent to the Bamnoli tourist region, with police forces maintaining surveillance at the location since midnight.
The successful operation resulted in the seizure of over 10 kilograms of MD drugs and the arrest of three individuals, including one local resident. Sources indicate that the individuals responsible for manufacturing the drugs originated from West Bengal. According to reports, the manufacturing facility was operating inside a buffalo shed, which was subsequently demolished by police forces.
The Potential Shiv Sena Connection
Investigators discovered that food for workers at the drug manufacturing facility was allegedly provided by Tejas Hotel, an establishment owned by a Shiv Sena leader affiliated with Eknath Shinde's faction from Thane. Law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed whether the hotel proprietor had any direct involvement in the illegal operation, and further investigation continues.
