Fatal Collision in Unnao: 3 Dead, 5 Injured as Truck Crashes Into Auto-Rickshaw on Ajgain-Mohan Road

A tragic road incident claimed three lives and left five individuals injured when a truck crashed head-on with an auto-rickshaw on Saturday morning in Unnao, according to police reports.

The fatal collision occurred near an Indian Oil petrol pump located in Makur village along the Ajgain-Mohan road.

Police officials stated that the impact was so powerful that the auto-rickshaw was completely wrecked, trapping the passengers inside the mangled vehicle.

Upon notification, police personnel promptly arrived at the accident scene and initiated rescue operations with assistance from local residents.

The rescue team extracted the trapped individuals from the severely damaged auto-rickshaw, but three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have sent the deceased for post-mortem examination, while the five injured passengers have been transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Following the collision, the truck driver abandoned his vehicle and escaped from the location. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend him.

The identities of the deceased victims have not yet been established, and authorities are working to gather information about their families.

Initial investigations indicate that excessive speed and reckless driving were likely factors in the accident. Police have confirmed that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
