BSF Captures Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorist Abdul Khalik Attempting to Infiltrate J&K Border

BSF personnel arrested Abdul Khalik, a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist from Rajouri district, while attempting to infiltrate the border in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector. After going missing years ago to receive arms training in Pakistan, his capture signals Pakistan's efforts to revive terrorism in the region using familiar local operatives, prompting heightened security measures across border sectors.

BSF apprehended a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist, Abdul Khalik, in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector on Friday as he attempted to cross the border armed with an AK rifle.

Khalik, who hails from the Budhal area in Rajouri district, was previously operating as an overground worker (OGW) for a terrorist organization active in the Poonch and Rajouri regions.

Abdul Khalik had disappeared several years ago. Investigations have revealed that he had crossed into Pakistan to receive arms training and was intercepted by vigilant BSF personnel near the International Border during his infiltration attempt. He has since been transferred to police custody for further proceedings.

This incident appears to be part of Pakistan's strategy to revitalize terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir by sending in local terrorists who are familiar with the region's geography.

Security forces remain on high alert following intelligence indicating that Pakistan has reactivated 12 launch pads in the Sialkot and Zafarwal areas opposite the Samba, Kathua, and Jammu sectors, after a seven-month period of inactivity following Operation Sindoor.
