2-Year-Old Girl Killed in Fatal School Van Accident in UP: Driver Arrested and Investigation Underway

Ballia:

A two-year-old girl tragically lost her life on Friday morning after being struck by a school vehicle in Ballia, as reported by police officials.

The deceased has been identified as Budhiya Paswan, aged 2.

According to police reports, the young girl was hit by a four-wheeler belonging to a private school near Narayangarh village. She succumbed to her injuries immediately at the scene.

Rajesh Bahadur Singh, the Station House Officer at Revati Police Station, confirmed that a police team was dispatched to the location shortly after the incident occurred. The vehicle involved has been seized by authorities, and the child's body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Singh further stated that a case has been registered against the driver, identified as Rajesh Yadav, based on a formal complaint filed by the victim's father, Aalha Paswan.

The driver has been apprehended and remains in police custody while investigations continue.
