A team consisting entirely of female police officers executed their inaugural encounter operation in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the arrest of a criminal with multiple warrants.

The confrontation took place late yesterday evening when authorities instructed 22-year-old Jitendra to halt at a police checkpoint, according to senior police officer Upasana Pandey. Jitendra, who has numerous cases filed against him including snatching, robbery, and theft, attempted to flee on his two-wheeler but lost balance and fell.

When commanded to surrender, he discharged his firearm at the police unit. The officers responded with retaliatory fire, which injured Jitendra before he was subsequently apprehended, explained Ms. Pandey.

During subsequent questioning, Jitendra admitted to stealing motorcycles and scooters throughout the Delhi-NCR region. He further confessed to snatching mobile phones and various other items.

Authorities confiscated his pistol and scooter, additionally recovering a phone and tablet from his possession.

Jitendra informed police that he had stolen the phone and tablet just the previous Sunday.

He also revealed that the two-wheeler he was operating had been stolen from Delhi during the previous year.
