Hyderabad:
Google and the Government of Telangana today announced the launch of the Google for Startups Hub at T-Hub in Hyderabad. This initiative represents the first Google-branded Hub established within Telangana's innovation ecosystem, specifically designed to nurture and scale world-class innovations.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT & Industries.
This strategic collaboration primarily aims to support AI-focused startups, cultivate local talent, and establish direct connections to international markets.
Google's plan includes engaging regional startups from Telangana through the Hub, providing free year-long dedicated coworking spaces for selected AI-first startups, along with access to a carefully selected network of venture investors.
As part of the global Google for Startups network, the Hub is structured to support startups throughout their journey, from early product ideation to responsibly scaling AI-first businesses across Indian and global markets.
The Google for Startups Hub will deliver a comprehensive support system including physical infrastructure, hands-on mentoring, AI expertise, and global visibility for founders.
Entrepreneurs will gain access to Google experts specializing in AI/ML, product development, UX design, and go-to-market strategies, who will conduct in-depth sessions. The Hub will offer tailored support for women entrepreneurs, innovators from Tier-2 regions, and university talent. Additionally, it will foster a community of startups, alumni, and investors to facilitate collaboration and accelerate experimentation.
The facility features specialized infrastructure and technology resources, networking areas, and dedicated event spaces for workshops, market access programs, and community gatherings.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the strategic vision behind this initiative: "By welcoming Google for Startups into Telangana's Innovation and Start-up ecosystem and allocating a sprawling campus to Google for Startups Hub, we are establishing the foundation for a globally competitive innovation ecosystem right here in Telangana."
He emphasized that ideas conceived in Hyderabad will receive the mentorship, technology, and market access needed to scale globally, positioning Telangana as a launchpad for startups designed for both India and international markets.
D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, emphasized the expansion of the innovation ecosystem, aiming to equip founders with essential tools, mentorship, and collaborative platforms "to experiment boldly, scale efficiently, and compete globally."
Preeti Lobana, Country Manager at Google India, affirmed Google's commitment: "Partnering with the Government of Telangana allows us to bring the full stack of Google support to this ecosystem from AI capabilities on Google Cloud to Android, Play, Ads and our broader developer and startup programs."
She explained that the Hub will cultivate talent and function as an "innovation flywheel" to support the next generation of Indian founders in leveraging AI for deep-tech solutions to real-world challenges.
Officials indicate that this launch demonstrates the Government of Telangana's policy vision to integrate technology, talent, and global collaborations to drive India's next wave of innovation, ensuring innovators throughout the state, including those from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, can access world-class resources.
Telangana already hosts a thriving ecosystem with established platforms like T-Hub, AI City, T-Works, and over 400 global innovation centers supporting various sectors including Deep-Tech Digital, Enterprise Tech, and Life Sciences.
