A disturbing footage from Madhya Pradesh's Dhar has emerged, depicting a Class 12 student being abducted in broad daylight. The cinematic-style kidnapping, captured on CCTV, occurred Monday at the Gandhwani bus stand area, sending shockwaves through the community.
Eyewitnesses reported that the girl was standing near an ATM when a Mahindra Bolero abruptly stopped beside her. Three individuals exited the vehicle, covered her mouth, forcibly pulled her into the SUV and sped away.
Local residents quickly mobilized and pursued the vehicle using motorcycles and cars.
When the kidnappers' vehicle reached Ambapura Road, it encountered a blockade, causing the perpetrators to collide with other vehicles in their frantic attempt to escape.
The intense pursuit, covering approximately 20 kilometers, showed the abductors dangerously navigating through villages and agricultural lands.
The chase concluded tragically near a village when the Bolero crashed into a herd of goats. The vehicle subsequently broke down, forcing the suspects to abandon it and escape on foot, leaving the frightened girl behind.
Authorities, notified by villagers, arrived at the location and rescued the young woman.
Superintendent of Police Mayank Awasthi confirmed that the suspects have been identified based on the survivor's testimony and multiple teams are conducting operations to apprehend them.
"A case has been registered against all three accused. Multiple police teams are conducting raids to arrest them. The girl is now with her family," he stated.
A comparable video from Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur went viral on social media last week, showing a 23-year-old woman being forcefully dragged away by a group of men and women while she was participating in Garba practice.
The incident, which occurred Saturday night, caused alarm among attendees and sparked widespread indignation online.
Observers noted that the woman had arrived in Mandsaur from Rajasthan with a young man and had been residing in the area for several months. Sources indicated that she was already married, and her decision to live separately from her family had provoked her relatives.
During the incident, her family members arrived at the Bhavsar Dharamshala, forcibly removed her in full public view, and reportedly displayed what appeared to be a pistol to intimidate onlookers.
She was rescued two hours later, and seven individuals were arrested.
