Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, during which they explored avenues to enhance the strategic partnership between India and Israel.

The call, initiated by Netanyahu, included an exchange of perspectives on the current situation in West Asia.

According to an official statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), "PM Modi reaffirmed India's support for efforts towards a just and durable peace in the region, including early implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan."

The statement further noted that both leaders expressed satisfaction regarding the continued momentum in the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and confirmed their commitment to strengthening these ties for mutual benefit.

"The two leaders strongly condemned terrorism and reiterated their zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," the PMO statement emphasized.

The leaders have agreed to maintain communication moving forward.
