PM Modi Has Not Taken A Single Leave In 24 Years: Amit Shah To NDTV

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only person whom he has seen not taking a single leave from work in 24 years, adding that his energy continues to increase.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never taken a single day off from work in 24 years, noting that instead of diminishing, Modi's energy only continues to increase over time.

"There is absolutely no decline in his energy levels. In fact, his energy keeps rising. He sets more rigorous goals and follows up with greater strictness," he explained during an interview with NDTV CEO and Editor-in-Chief Rahul Kanwal.

When questioned if he had ever suggested the Prime Minister should rest, Mr Shah responded that Modi's continuous work ethic has never negatively affected his decision-making abilities or work efficiency. "Nobody can impose habits on another person. Each individual has their own nature that guides how they work," he remarked.

Mr Shah stated that not only India but the entire world recognizes PM Modi as the most popular prime minister who has served for the longest period, both during his tenure as Gujarat's Chief Minister and as the nation's leader.

"Modi ji possesses the ability to unite everyone and make appropriate decisions for every challenge. Despite what critics might say, I've consistently observed him openly listening to his colleagues and providing guidance. I believe PM Modi has effectively adapted himself to function within a multi-party parliamentary democratic system. This is why he continues to receive support from both citizens and elected officials," the Union minister told NDTV.

He further elaborated that his relationship with PM Modi is characterized as that between a leader and a worker, emphasizing that there is no "boss culture" within the party structure.

Mr Shah highlighted that under PM Modi's leadership, the BJP has established a vision to transform India into a developed, self-reliant nation by 2047. "We may not be present then, but the country will endure. Even if we're in opposition, we will contribute to national development. We will never disrespect the parliament," he affirmed.
