After 15 long years of absence, a former soldier has finally returned to his family home in Ghartholi village, located in Himachal Pradesh's Sujanpur district.

Baldev Kumar had departed from his home years ago seeking employment opportunities, but subsequently disappeared without a trace. His family eventually presumed him dead after exhaustive searches and police reports failed to locate him, leaving them in a state of profound grief.

The breakthrough occurred just three days ago when a family in Bikaner, Rajasthan, uploaded a video on social media platforms featuring an unidentified man, requesting help with identification. The video reached Sapna Kumari in Sujanpur, who circulated it locally, eventually finding its way to Baldev Kumar's family.

The moment they viewed the footage, they were overwhelmed with emotion. After 15 years of uncertainty, they finally caught sight of their long-lost family member, confirming his identity.

Baldev Kumar's relatives immediately traveled to Bikaner to reunite with him. The compassionate Rajasthani family revealed they had been providing care for him over the years. Following the emotional meeting, Baldev returned home with his family, where the entire village celebrated his return with musical instruments including drums and trumpets.

The grateful family expressed their heartfelt thanks to Sapna Kumari, Gaurav Jain, and the family who made this extraordinary reunion possible. They remarked that social media had successfully healed a wound that had persisted for 15 years, reuniting them with their long-lost son.

In a separate case, a man from Uttar Pradesh who disappeared in 2018, just a year after marriage and having a child, was recently discovered on social media with another woman. His wife alleged he had remarried and that his family was aware of his whereabouts but concealed the truth.

Authorities confirmed that a formal police report was filed when he initially went missing, and his wife subsequently submitted a petition after confirming he was alive.
