Krishnakant shared his hostel room with another student.
Noida:
A 25-year-old Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student has reportedly died by suicide at his hostel near Delhi, leaving a note that simply stated "I give up".
Police discovered the body of Krishnakant, who hailed from Jharkhand, in his Greater Noida hostel accommodation on Saturday.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Krishnakant, a second-year student, shared the room with another student.
On Saturday, he did not attend college and informed his roommate that he would arrive later.
Later that afternoon, Krishnakant's father called the roommate, urging him to return to their room immediately as Krishnakant was "about to do something".
The roommate promptly alerted other hostel residents, who rushed to Krishnakant's room.
They found the door locked from inside, forcing them to break it open, only to discover him hanging. They immediately contacted authorities.
Police recovered a suicide note that read, "I give up. Please give my body and my things to my family. Sorry for the trouble."
According to the roommate, Krishnakant suffered from a medical condition that caused him significant distress.
"He was a very good student," the roommate added.
