Politicians Unite on Dance Floor: Kangana Ranaut, Mahua Moitra, and Supriya Sule Perform at Naveen Jindal's Daughter's Wedding

Setting political differences aside, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra, and NCP's Supriya Sule shared the stage during the wedding celebrations of Yashaswini Jindal, industrialist-politician Naveen Jindal's daughter. Videos from the sangeet night captured them performing alongside other notable figures to the popular Bollywood track "Deewangi Deewangi" from the 2007 film "Om Shanti Om." The footage shows their synchronized dance routine as Naveen Jindal joined them on stage.

Kangana Ranaut had previously posted rehearsal images with the caption, "Some filmy moments with fellow parliamentarians ha ha. Rehearsing for Naveen Jindal ji's daughter's wedding sangeet."

Yashaswini Jindal and Shashwat Somani's wedding ceremony, held at the Jindal residence in Delhi, attracted numerous political leaders and business personalities. A highlight of the evening was the rare joint performance by the four Jindal brothers - Ratan, Prithviraj, Sajjan, and Naveen - who danced to Daler Mehndi's 1990s hit song "Na Na Na Re."

Sajjan Jindal's wife, Sangita Jindal, shared the video of the brothers enjoying themselves and celebrating together. She wrote, "It was wonderful to see all my brothers in law dancing together...on the occasion of yashasvini and shashwats wedding! Feel so blessed."

Naveen Jindal, the youngest of the four brothers, serves as the chairman of Jindal Steel & Power and currently represents Kurukshetra as a BJP MP. He initially entered Parliament in 2004 as a Congress MP before transitioning to the BJP in 2024.

The Jindal family, previously led by matriarch Savitri Jindal, has an estimated net worth exceeding $36 billion according to Forbes, ranking them among India's wealthiest families.

Yashaswini Jindal, born in 1999, is the only daughter of Naveen and renowned Kuchipudi dancer Shallu Jindal. She received her education in Delhi and later at Yale University, earning a degree in psychology with a certificate in advanced Mandarin. She has trained in Kuchipudi dance under the guidance of celebrated gurus Raja, Radha, and Kaushalya Reddy, and has previously been honored with Delhi's Stylish Youth Icon and ICUNR awards.

Her groom, Shashwat Somani, comes from the prominent Somani business family. The son of Sandeep and Sumita Somani, he is involved with Somany Impresa Ltd, a major company specializing in glass, sanitaryware, and construction materials, where he currently heads strategy. Shashwat studied economics and psychology at UCLA and holds an MBA from London Business School.
