Two Men Arrested in Jhansi for Sexual Assault on Minor, Blackmail Attempt and Police Shootout

In Jhansi, two individuals allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl, recorded the heinous act, and subsequently demanded Rs 5 lakh from her family by threatening to distribute the video, according to police reports.

The two suspects were apprehended in the Garotha area on Saturday following an exchange of gunfire, during which one of the accused sustained a bullet wound and was subsequently hospitalized at the medical college.

Circle Officer Asma Waqar confirmed that the arrests were made in relation to a case registered at the Garotha police station on Wednesday.

According to police investigations, the accused allegedly committed the assault on the minor, created video documentation of the crime, and were attempting to blackmail the victim's family for Rs 5 lakh.

Acting on intelligence about the suspects' location, police teams tracked them down and established a perimeter. The suspects reportedly initiated gunfire against the police personnel, which prompted a defensive response from the officers, stated the Circle Officer.

Law enforcement officials have arrested Vaibhav Patsariya (19) and Vishal Patsariya (21), both residents of Ramnagar Garautha, the officer reported. Unauthorized firearms were seized during the arrest operation.
