25-Year-Old Man Arrested in Delhi for Sexual Assault on 4-Year-Old Girl: Investigation Details and Legal Proceedings

Authorities in Delhi have apprehended a 25-year-old individual on charges of sexually assaulting a four-year-old female child while intoxicated in the Bawana area of outernorth Delhi, according to police statements released Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as Rizwan, a Bawana resident, who was detained shortly after the incident occurred. Officials reported that he admitted to committing the offense while under the influence of alcohol and has subsequently been remanded to judicial custody.

Law enforcement received an emergency call at approximately 5:30 pm on December 3 reporting the assault. Responding officers discovered the child in distress, with bleeding from her genital area. She was promptly transported to SRHC Hospital for initial medical assessment before being transferred to BSA Hospital for additional treatment.

According to police reports, the accused allegedly took the young girl to an unoccupied room, securing it from within prior to committing the assault.

Forensic and crime investigation teams have examined the location, documented the scene photographically, and collected relevant evidence samples. Authorities have registered a formal case under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The investigation continues, including forensic analysis and psychological support services for the victim.
