Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, appears set to make his entrance into Bihar politics, according to strong indications from Sanjay Kumar Jha, the JD-U national working president and close associate of the Chief Minister.

During his interaction with media representatives at Patna Airport, Jha made remarks that have intensified speculation regarding Nishant's political debut.

For considerable time, there has been mounting pressure from within the JDU and the broader NDA coalition for Nishant Kumar to embrace active politics.

Many anticipated that he might contest from a constituency in Nalanda during the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections.

Nevertheless, JD-U successfully formed the government with a substantial majority without fielding Nishant as a candidate.

Despite this, conversations regarding Nishant's potential political career have persisted within party circles.

The JD-U leadership has consistently maintained that Nishant is welcome to enter politics and even take on significant responsibilities within the party structure, though the ultimate decision remains with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

A significant development unfolded at Patna Airport on Friday.

As Nishant Kumar engaged with media personnel, Sanjay Kumar Jha, positioned beside him, addressed reporters and explicitly endorsed Nishant's entry into politics.

"Party members, well-wishers, and supporters all desire Nishant Kumar to join the party and contribute. We share this sentiment, but ultimately it is his decision regarding when he will join," stated Jha.

Previously, Nishant Kumar had commented on the NDA-JD-U's decisive victory, attributing it to the blessings of Bihar's citizens.

He remarked that the public had renewed their trust in his father, Nitish Kumar, and the NDA administration.

Expressing complete confidence in his father's leadership, Nishant declared, "My father fulfilled his previous commitments, and this time too he will certainly deliver on the promise of creating one crore jobs and employment opportunities."

Following Sanjay Kumar Jha's recent statements, political analysts believe that Nishant Kumar's transition into active politics may now simply be a question of timing.
