A disturbing video has surfaced from Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, showing a man being assaulted by a police officer. Anzar Majid Malik filed a police complaint on Wednesday, alleging that Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Mohd Maqbool Dar assaulted and wrongfully restrained him. Following the complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered under relevant sections at the Doda Police Station.
The video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms. In response, the Police department has affirmed its zero-tolerance policy regarding misconduct within its ranks and initiated the appropriate legal process. An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.

The incident, which appears to be a case of road rage, was captured on camera. ASI Mohd Maqbool Dar and his son Ghulam Ali were traveling in a Maruti Suzuki Ignis (license plate JK06B8824) that was parked in a marketplace. After exiting a shop, they returned to their vehicle.
At this moment, Anzar Majid Malik arrived on his scooter and parked in front of Dar's car. As Dar attempted to make a left turn, he found Malik's scooter blocking his path. Both drivers moved their vehicles slightly backward, but Dar still couldn't maneuver out. A bystander advised Malik to move his scooter to the side.
A verbal altercation ensued between the car occupants and Malik when the latter refused to reposition his scooter, suggesting that the police officer should make a wider left turn. Eventually, Malik reversed his scooter to allow Dar passage. As Malik was moving his scooter aside, Ali exited the car, and the argument continued to escalate.
The situation intensified when Dar stepped out of the vehicle, knocked away Malik's phone, and repeatedly slapped him. Malik dismounted his scooter, appearing to attempt retaliation.
Dar then grabbed Malik and forcefully pushed him against a passing car that had stopped. The police officer continued to push Malik toward a nearby shop, while his son attempted to intervene and stop the altercation.
Malik tried to defend himself again. Ultimately, Ali managed to end the confrontation and returned to the car with his father.
Before departing the area, Ali exited the vehicle one more time to photograph Malik's scooter license plate.
