The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, led by Devendra Fadnavis, has completed its first year of governance, marked by stability, transparency, and results-oriented administration. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule unveiled the government's detailed "Progress Report Card" during a press conference in Mumbai.
Expressing gratitude, Bawankule stated, "With blessings from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharashtra's 14-crore citizens, the Mahayuti Government has established a robust foundation for 'Viksit Maharashtra' that aligns perfectly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat' vision."
He further emphasized, "Within just 365 days, we have established new standards in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, women's empowerment, and youth employment through courageous and citizen-focused decisions."
The government report highlights several key achievements:
In agricultural support, the government allocated a Rs 32,000 crore relief package for farmers affected by excessive rainfall and natural disasters. They implemented a stay on crop loan recovery and expedited crop insurance disbursements. Additionally, animal husbandry and fisheries received 'agriculture' status, major river-linking projects were approved, and over 37,000 water conservation initiatives were completed under Jalyukt Shivar 2.0.
Industrial growth has been remarkable with Rs 16 lakh crore in MoUs signed at Davos, with 80% already in implementation stages. Foreign Direct Investment reached Rs 1.64 lakh crore in 2024-25, representing a 34% increase from the previous year. The government has completed or provided 1.5 lakh government positions and 45,000 police recruitments.
On the infrastructure front, the Samruddhi Mahamarg is now fully operational. Planning is underway for the Shaktipeeth Highway and Vadhavan Port. Mumbai's Metro network is expanding rapidly, and a historic proposal aims to reduce electricity rates over the next five years.
For women's empowerment and cultural initiatives, the government successfully launched the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Umed Malls are planned in 10 districts to support women's self-help groups. Construction projects include Shivaji Maharaj memorials at Agra and a Maratha bravery memorial at Panipat.
Governance improvements include making government services available via WhatsApp, digitization of land records, waiver of certificate fees for students, free sand provision for PMAY beneficiaries, abolition of land fragmentation rules, promotions, and vigilance measures to ensure administrative efficiency.
Concluding the press conference, Minister Bawankule affirmed, "The Mahayuti Government remains fully committed to realizing the vision of Viksit Maharashtra 2047. Every decision, expenditure, and policy is dedicated to transforming Maharashtra into India's most prosperous and progressive state."
