Tragic Loss: Karnataka Police Inspector Perishes in Fiery Car Crash After Vehicle Hits Divider

In a devastating incident in Karnataka, a police inspector lost his life when his vehicle collided with a divider and erupted into flames on the outskirts of Annigeri town in Dharwad district.

Inspector Salimath, who was working with the Haveri Lokayukta office, was traveling from Gadag to Hubballi along the National Highway when the fatal accident occurred.

Visual evidence from the accident scene showed the Hyundai i20 completely engulfed in flames, with fire violently pouring out from the vehicle. Bystanders and travelers attempted to rescue the trapped officer, while others warned people to maintain distance as the flames intensified dangerously.

Local residents alerted the authorities immediately, but by the time firefighters arrived at the location, the vehicle was already consumed by the inferno. After the fire was finally extinguished, rescue personnel discovered the inspector's charred remains inside the vehicle.

Initial reports suggest that Inspector Salimath was en route to visit family members in Gadag when the tragedy struck.

Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with further examination currently in progress.
