Political Rivals Unite: Kangana Ranaut Shares Dance Rehearsal with Mahua Moitra and Supriya Sule for Naveen Jindal's Daughter's Wedding

Politicians across party lines are gathering to celebrate the wedding festivities of Naveen Jindal's daughter, with many participating in the pre-wedding events.

On Wednesday, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut shared an Instagram image revealing a dance rehearsal for the upcoming sangeet ceremony. The photograph captured Ranaut practicing alongside fellow parliamentarians Naveen Jindal, TMC's Mahua Moitra, and NCP's Supriya Sule.

"Some filmy moments with fellow parliamentarians ha ha. Rehearsing for Naveen Jindal ji's daughter's wedding sangeet," Ranaut wrote in her social media post.

The wedding celebrations have attracted political figures from various parties across the Indian political spectrum.

Naveen Jindal, who serves as chairman of Jindal Steel & Power, began his political career as a Congress MP from Kurukshetra in 2004 and secured reelection in 2009. Earlier this year in March 2024, he departed from Congress to join the BJP, subsequently returning to Parliament representing Kurukshetra, Haryana.

Politics runs in the Jindal family. Following the death of her husband, industrialist-politician OP Jindal, Savitri Jindal entered public service by winning the 2005 Hisar bypoll on a Congress ticket and retaining the seat in 2009. As a former Haryana cabinet minister, she became one of Congress's prominent leaders in the state. After losing in 2014 and not contesting in 2019, she left Congress in 2024 shortly after her son's departure. She then ran as an Independent candidate in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections from Hisar, won the seat, and subsequently aligned with the BJP.

The image featuring Ranaut, Moitra, and Sule will likely generate significant social media discussion given their history of pointed political exchanges. Moitra has consistently been among the BJP's strongest critics, frequently alleging that the government undermines constitutional protections, enables institutional overreach, suppresses dissent, and leads India toward democratic regression.

Their public disagreements have occurred previously. In 2020, Moitra criticized the Central government after Ranaut received Y+ CRPF security protection, questioning why "Bollywood Twitterati" were granted elite security when India maintained one of the world's lowest police-to-population ratios. At that time, Ranaut was engaged in a dispute with the then-governing Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP coalition regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation.
